How to Prepare our Battered Nian Gao

Battered Nian Gao

Air Fryer

  1. Remove Nian Gao from pack, thawing is not required.
  2. Pop in pre-heated air fryer at 180c for 6 to 7 minutes.

Deep-fry

  1. Defrost for 15 minutes in room temperature.
  2. Add adequate oil in pot for deep frying.
    (Tips: Oil should be above the Nian Gao, and use a deep pot)
  3. Heat up the oil in medium heat for 4 minutes.
  4. Lower down the heat to low.
  5. Add in the item slowly, beware of oil splatter.
  6. Fry it for 5 to 7 minutes till golden brown.
  7. Use a heat durable spatula to move it about.
  8. Ready to eat, once it is golden brown.
