How to Prepare our Firecracker Porchetta

Let us get you ready for Chinese New Year! Listen for the satisfying crackle when slicing the Fortune Firecracker – it’s music to the ears and certainly sounds like mini fire crackers warding off the evil and ushering in the good!

Half Log

Conventional Oven
  1. Remove the log from the vacuum pack, thawing is not required.
  2. Place it in a preheated oven, cook at 180°C for 45 to 50 mins.
  3. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 mins to achieve crispiness.
 
Toaster Oven
  1. Fully thaw the frozen log.
  2. Remove the log from the vacuum pack.
  3. Place it in a preheated toaster, cook at 160°C for 45 to 50 mins.
  4. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 mins to achieve crispiness. 
Air Fryer
  1. Remove from the vacuum pack, thawing is not required.
  2. Place it in the air fryer at 200°C for 35 to 40 minutes.
  3. Remove from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 mins to achieve crispiness. 

Full Log

Conventional Oven

  2. Place it in a preheated oven, cook at 180°C for 50-60 mins.
  3. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 mins to achieve crispiness.

    Supreme Scallop Sauce

    Option 1
    Boil adequate water in the a pot, once the water is boiling, turn the heat to low and place the sauce pack unopened directly in boiling water for 5 minutes.
    *Do not worry as we use high quality Sous Vide bags for all our products!

    Option 2
    Thaw fully or microwave defrost, open the sauce pack and pour it into a pot. Heat it for 3mins under high fire. Once the sauce is boiling, its ready.
